# Balance and wallet movements

> Read the balance of your company and the movements of its wallet, to monitor your spending or reconcile your accounting.

Shortext debits your company's wallet for messages, AI usage and subscriptions, and credits it when you top up. The endpoints need a key with **View financial reports**.

## Balance

| Field | Description |
| - | - |
| `balance` | The balance, in the billing currency. |
| `local_balance` | The same amount converted to the currency of your company's country, for information. `null` when not available. |
| `threshold` | Under this amount, your company is warned to top up. |
| `low` | `true` when the balance is under the threshold. |

> Check `low` from a daily job and alert your finance team before your agents stop answering for lack of credit.

## Wallet movements

`GET /balance/transactions` lists the settled movements, most recent first, 50 per page:

`amount` is negative for a debit and positive for a credit. A debit only appears once it is settled.

| `type` | `debit` or `credit`. |
| `from`, `to` | A date range. |
